I am a technology professional with experience in software development, end-user support, and customer service. I began my journey in high school when I built my first computer, and would spend countless hours tinkering with software and hardware trying to learn everything I could. Years later, I decided to put my skills to the test and attended college to begin pursuing my dream of becoming a software developer.
After completing my Associate of Arts, I gratefully accepted a position as a Desktop Support Analyst so that I could familiarize myself with the industry while finishing my Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. I spent the next few years professionally assisting end-users with their devices while improving my technical and soft skills even further. While I enjoyed my work, I desired something more challenging and eventually moved up to my organization’s Application Development department.
Since then I’ve had the pleasure of working at various organizations, which has helped provide me insight on which practices and cultures enable developers to create the best product possible. I also discovered a passion for teaching through volunteer work, which eventually led me to an opportunity to teach application development at my local community college.
To me, programming solutions is like solving a puzzle, and I enjoy putting the pieces together to make a product that works for my users.
